The short version
We collect what you give us and a little technical information needed to keep Plan in Decades running. We use it to provide the service, understand what is working, fix problems, and keep things secure. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Your account details, such as your name, email, and profile image.
- The financial information, scenarios, assumptions, messages, and other content you choose to enter.
- Basic usage and technical information, such as pages visited, browser, device, approximate location, IP address, errors, and performance data.
- Subscription and payment records. Stripe handles your card details; we do not store the full card number.
Who helps us run it
We use Google for sign-in, Google Analytics, and Gemini AI; Stripe for payments; Cloudflare and DigitalOcean for delivery, hosting, and storage; Honeycomb for diagnostics; and an email provider for service emails. If you connect Telegram, Telegram also handles those messages.
When you use an AI feature, your message and the relevant financial context are sent to Google Gemini to produce the response. Please do not put anything into an AI message that you are not comfortable sending to that provider. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits and sessions. You can block or clear those cookies in your browser.
These providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. They handle it under their own privacy and security terms.
Keeping and protecting it
We keep account and planning data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to run the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse. Backups and logs may hang around for a bit longer. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can promise perfect security.
Your choices
You can choose not to use the AI or Telegram features. You can also ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion where available, or make a privacy complaint. Email us at [email protected] and we will work through it with you.
If this changes
We will update this page and its date when our privacy practices change in a meaningful way.
